About Me

My name is Elsa Fridl. I grew up and still live in the Washington, D.C.-metropolitan area. Growing up, I spent a lot of time visiting my paternal grandparents who were a combination of German, Czech and French. I attribute my partial French heritage to why I have always loved France so much, and in particular, Paris. I have visited many other countries, but none speak to me the way France does. I love the people, the food, the architecture, French style, and their emphasis on relationships and enjoying life. I feel at home in Paris. I feel I belong there. I would like to teach English in Paris, and I am hoping this blog will help open a door to fulfilling my dream. Until then, I will use my own travel experiences to help others get there, and perhaps serve as a cultural bridge in the process by attempting to dispel cultural myths and stereotypes along the way.
